Frequent Asked Questions

What is Gallerr Academy?

Gallerr Academy is an immersive online experience that offers access to genius by allowing anyone to take online classes with the world's best. These video courses are 100% exclusive - Gallerr Academy produces the courses directly with the instructors to capture exactly what the masters want to teach.

What format do the courses take?

The curriculum for each course is designed by the instructor. Each class includes extensive pre-recorded video content, a class workbook, interactive assignments, and community activities. The videos are viewable at any time, and they can be paused, fast-forwarded, and re-watched as many times as you'd like. In addition, many students utilize the class discussions below each video to share their thoughts, upload their performances, and provide feedback on others' work.

How long is the course?

Each course consists of 2-5+ hours of video content. You can take the class at your own pace, so the number of weeks it takes to complete the course will vary.

Will I receive all the lessons when I have bought?

You will receive a defined number of lessons each week, it does not depends on your performance of watching the lessons. To follow your progression we always send you an email listing all new available lessons.

Do I have to complete the course within a specific time frame?

No - you can take the class at your own pace! Students receive lifetime access to the content so you can determine the pace that works for you. The workbook also contains a recommended pace for the class.

What does the enrollment fee include?

Enrollment includes:

  • unlimited, lifetime access to every class in your course
  • a downloadable workbook with class recaps, important takeaways, and exercises
  • membership in an active community of engaged students (upload your own work, or provide feedback on a peer's!) access to any answers your instructor provides to any students' work

Am I able to interact with my instructor?

Our instructors will, at times, provide feedback to students on their "office hours". They select questions they find to be most helpful for their students. We film these responses and share the follow-up feedback for all students to view.

Which topics are covered in the class?

Each class syllabus is available on the homepage. Scroll down to the 'Lesson Plan' to see a description for each lesson in the class.

What type of device / browser do I need?

You can view classes on any internet-enabled device, in any modern browser.

Is there homework with the course?

How do classes work?

Every class was created by the instructor and includes extensive pre-recorded video content, a class workbook, interactive assignments, and community activities.

Classes break down into a few basic components:

1) Lessons begin with an instructive lesson video for each chapter. These videos are meant to provide students with a jumping off point for what the lesson is about.

2) Along with the lesson videos, students can follow along in a downloadable pdf workbook with assignments that students can submit to our student community for critique and feedback.

3) Students receive most or all of their feedback from fellow students in our private student group where we will also post the most current community activities.

Periodically, Gallerr Academy may have opportunities for students to submit work to instructors for critique. When those assignments come around, students will be notified via email with instructions and details.

Instructors will have an "Office Hours" section in their course wherein students can submit questions in the form of text or video recording. Instructors will review these questions at a later time and post answers to questions that they feel best represent what students are asking.

There is a suggested workflow in the class workbook, but students receive lifetime access to the content so they can move through the lessons at their own pace.

Is there a time frame to complete my class?

Each Gallerr Academy course comes with a suggested timeline, but you can complete the class at your own pace. You have lifetime access to every class that you enroll in so you can complete a class as quickly as you'd like and retake a class as many times as you like.

Can I share a class?

Gallerr Academy is designed to be taken individually, and not ideal for group viewings. Your enrollment grants you lifetime access to the course and its materials, so while you do not need to keep your class a secret, we ask that students do not copy or redistribute the materials in any way.
